MLS Transfers got a few minutes to speak with Richard Motzkin, Sacha Kljestan's agent about how the transfer back to MLS went down.
"Everyone showed flexibility on the deal," said Motzkin "Anderlecht, the Red Bulls and Kljestan all worked together."
Motzkin went on the record to imply Kljestan wasn't about to return to MLS just for the money.
"Sacha is choosing to make less money (than when at Anderlecht) to build the league and the team."
Motzkin also revealed there were as many as 6 MLS clubs that were expressing interest in the player but MLS rules stipulated that whoever was highest in the allocation order got a chance to grab him.
"What I will say is over the past 5 years plus he's won 7 titles and is on of the most successful US players to play in Europe," said Motzkin "He will be a great leader and a great mentor for the younger players on the team."
